TOWNSHIP CLERK/ADMINISTRATOR

The Township of Tabernacle is located in Burlington County, NJ with a population of 7800 residents and a Township Committee form of Government. The Township seeks an experienced, motivated professional to oversee all daily operations as Administrator/Clerk of the Township.

Administrator duties include coordinating and supervising the duties and financial operation of all departments, Boards and Township Employees. Handle any complaints, concerns and suggestions, and make sure they are addressed. Serves as the Township’s personnel/human relations officer. For complete duties see the Township Code, Chapter 2, Sec. 2.2.

As Clerk, the duties include serving as the Executive Secretary to the Township Committee, maintaining custody of all minutes, books, deeds, bonds, contracts and archival records, attest to the signature of municipal officers and officials and maintains receipt and service of all legal documents. The Clerk is the Administrator of all elections held in the Township and is the Chief Registrar of Voters in the municipality. The Clerk will also be responsible for handling all OPRA requests submitted to the Township.

Both positions may have other duties that may be imposed by State Statutes and regulations or municipal ordinances or regulations.
