DEPUTY MUNICIPAL CLERK/DEPUTY REGISTRAR – TOWNSHIP OF FAIRFIELD, ESSEX COUNTY

The Township of Fairfield is seeking interested applicants for the full-time position of Deputy Municipal Clerk/Deputy Registrar. The Deputy Municipal Clerk/Deputy Registrar shall be responsible to assist the Municipal Clerk in all regular statutory duties and to fulfill all duties of the Municipal Clerk in their absence. Duties include, but are not limited to, agenda and minutes preparation, responding to OPRA requests, election responsibilities, licensing responsibilities, attendance at meetings and extended hours during election periods is required. Applicant must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook, and strong customer service skills. Salary is commensurate with qualifications. Municipal Government experience, Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) and/or Certified Municipal Registrar (CMR) certifications are preferred or willing to obtain certifications.
